Deputy Head of Conveyancing

ABOUT US

Switalskis is an award-winning law firm listed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024.

Established in 1993 by Stephen Switalski, we began with a focus on child care law and criminal law from a single office in Wakefield. Since then we’ve expanded to 11 locations employing approximately 400 people who provide a wide array of specialist legal services.

A career at Switalskis means being part of a firm that cares and is here for you. We’re dynamic and progressive, and we never stand still. Last year we were crowned Large Firm of the Year at The Yorkshire Legal Awards and named in the top 50 fastest growing companies in Yorkshire in the Yorkshire Growth Index.

THE ROLE

The department’s continued success is built on meaningful, quality, and value-driven work that truly makes a difference to our clients.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Managing a dynamic caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish.
Offering expert guidance to the team, mentoring junior colleagues, and supporting them in developing their skills.
Playing a key role in the department's growth through business development and maintaining strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and other professionals.
Assisting the Head of Department with strategic and financial planning.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Client-Focused: You understand how to deliver exceptional client care and develop lasting relationships with clients and referrers.
Problem-Solving Abilities: You're able to think on your feet and handle complex transactions, always finding effective solutions.
Attention to Detail: Your meticulous nature ensures that all documentation is accurate and compliant, with nothing missed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join a high-performing, award-winning team offering a highly competitive salary (DOE), bonus, benefits, and potential for Director level appointment. Based in Yorkshire with flexible or hybrid working options, the role offers strong prospects for professional growth and career progression.
